Action on Disability - Caroline Archer • Introduction to employment service • Role of the Job Coach Examples of Reasonable Adjustments in the work place: • Tasks suited to personalities/skills and excludes tasks that are inaccessible • Ramps, adapt office space/furniture for wheelchair access
Examples continued: • Job coaching – interviews / in the work place • Give interviewee a work trial rather than an interviews • Demonstrate tasks rather than verbally explain • Add labels / signage / script- guide to greeting customers • Visual systematic guide on how to complete tasks • Allow for extra breaks / provide a quiet space
