Support available for students 1737 is a helpline you can freecall or text at any time 24/7. Trained counsellors are available to speak with you. Counselling sessions will be available throughout the week via the Student Health and Counselling Service. (09) 923 7681 or email generalmanager. UHCS@auckland. ac. nz. The Maclaurin Chapel is a venue for everyone (regardless of religion or beliefs) to gather to talk. Chaplains and Counsellors will be present, and refreshments available. Open throughout the day from 9 am to 5 pm. Memorial Walls have been established around the Campus, at Faculty Service Centres and Level 2 of Kate Edgar Information Commons building. You can post a note of condolence, support or express your feelings at these.
Taking action Donating The New Zealand Islamic Information Centre has set up a crowdfunding campaign on Launchgood (a crowdfunding platform for Muslim people) with all funds raised distributed to the victims and families affected by the Christchurch attack. The New Zealand Council of Victim Support Groups has also set up a crowdfunding campaign on Givealittle. Victim Support says it will use all donations received to the page to provide support and resources for people affected by the Christchurch shootings and their family members.
