• Mama Turkey was so glad, • About that little chick she had. • She made sure that he did no wrong. • And he grew up to be big and strong.

• Papa Turkey was so proud, • He strutted around and he gobbled out loud. • “My son is so quick and wise, • He’ll never be eaten with pumpkin pie. ”

• Sure enough that little chick, • Grew up to be so smart and quick, • He out smarted and out ran, • Every animal and every man.

• When Thanksgiving comes around, • Farmer Jones can be found • Sneaking around with his big shot gun, • Trying to catch that turkey on the run.

• Farmer Jones was getting’ mad, • He wants to catch that bird so bad. • He is tired of eating fish, • Instead of his favorite turkey dish.
