Welcome
Call To Worship
Come and Bless Us Lord VU-596 Words, Music: Burckhardthaus -laetare. English Translation: Len Lythgoe. Arrangement: Songs for a Gospel People.
Come and bless us, God, save us from dissension, that we may as one further your intention. Never on our own, yours for ever after, both our tears and laughter blessed by you alone.
Not for us to keep do you give your blessing, talents richly given not for our possessing. As we share our all, blessing grows and flowers, loving grace empowers, bursting evil's thrall.
Peace you granted once, peace again must flourish; as you promised us, as the earth we nourish. Help us stand the test! Those who sow with weeping, when it's time for reaping, will find peace and rest.
Come and bless us, God, save us from dissension, that we may as one further your intention. Never on our own, yours for ever after, both our tears and laughter blessed by you alone.
Opening Prayer Come and bless us, God, In all the joys and conflicts of our lives.
Come and bless us In our interactions with family, and work mates And neighbours, and friends.
Come and bless us, God, When we struggle to find our way through times, And the best choices are not obvious,
And the temptation to be less than our best selves starts to take hold.
Come and bless us, God, And remind us of whose we truly are, And how our best choices are made,
And how we can act not only to bless ourselves But to bless those around us at the same time.
Come and bless us, God, And make us a blessing.
(time for silent prayer and confession)

Would You Bless Our Homes and Families VU-556 Words: © 1977 Walter Farquharson. Music: © 1977 Ron Klusmeier. CCLI #11180408"All rights reserved, "
1 Would you bless our homes and families, Source of life who calls us here; in our world of stress and tension teach us love that conquers fear.
Help us learn to love each other with a love that constant stays; teach us when we face our troubles, love's expressed in many ways.
2 When our way is undemanding, let us use the time that's ours to delight in simple pleasures, sharing joys in gentle hours.
When our way is anxious walking and a heavy path we plod, teach us trust in one another and in you, our gracious God.
3 From the homes in which we're nurtured, with the love that shapes us there, teach us, God, to claim as family every one whose life we share.
And through all that life may offer, may we in your love remain; may the love we share in families be alive to praise your name.
4 Let us reach beyond the boundaries of our daily thought and care till the family you have chosen spills its love out everywhere.
Help us learn to love each other with a love that constant stays; teach us when we face our troubles love's expressed in many ways.

Prayers for the People
The Lord's Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
for Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory for ever and ever. Amen
Blest are They, the Poor VU-896 Words, Music: David Haas © 1985 G. I. A. Publications, Inc. Reprinted under One. License. net #A-724406
1 Blest are they, the poor in spirit, theirs is the kingdom of God. Blest are they, full of sorrow, they shall be consoled.
Rejoice and be glad! Blessed are you, holy are you! Rejoice and be glad! Yours is the kingdom of God.
2 Blest are they, the lowly ones, they shall inherit the earth. Blest are they who hunger and thirst, they shall have their fill.
Rejoice and be glad! Blessed are you, holy are you! Rejoice and be glad! Yours is the kingdom of God.
3 Blest are they who show mercy, mercy shall be theirs. Blest are they, the pure of heart, they shall see God.
Rejoice and be glad! Blessed are you, holy are you! Rejoice and be glad! Yours is the kingdom of God.
4 Blest are they who seek peace; they are the children of God. Blest are they who suffer in faith, the glory of God is theirs.
Rejoice and be glad! Blessed are you, holy are you! Rejoice and be glad! Yours is the kingdom of God.
5 Blest are you who suffer hate, all because of me. Rejoice and be glad yours is the kingdom; shine for all to see.
Rejoice and be glad! Blessed are you, holy are you! Rejoice and be glad! Yours is the kingdom of God.
