Loan Re-amortization • When the loan begins, the customer is given a monthly minimum payment called the “choice rate”. • This rate is based on the assumption that the customer will re-invest their Federal ITC into the loan. • Re-amortization Details • The loan will automatically re-amortize at month 18. • If the homeowner has made all of their monthly payments as well as a 30% lump sum payment (Federal ITC) by that time, their choice monthly payment will stay the same. • If they have paid less than 30% when their loan re-amortizes, their monthly minimum payment will increase. • If they have paid more than 30% when their loan re-amortizes, their monthly minimum payment will decrease.
