About Mr. Garibay… This is my 20 th year teaching PE. (EIS, Golden School (6 th grade), HIS and SIS. . Bachelors in Kinesiology and Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Married with 3 kids… 16, 13 and 7. My wife teaches at EIS as an Specialized Academic Instructor. I have coached at Etiwanda High school the last 9 years. (JV Girls Basketball, JV Baseball and Football (Fresh).
Expectations… Give your very best effort! Come prepared and on time! Stay on task! Attitude is everything! Be kind, courteous and respectful! Communication is key! Ask questions for clarification! Individual and group activities! Words of Encouragement!!!
The P. E. Uniform Only the student’s name is to be written on clothes. No other markings are allowed. l Torn or ripped clothes are not acceptable. Pockets in shorts are not allowed. l Sweats are okay. Sweats must be for PE ONLY. l No jackets or heavy coats. l Suit violations: 1. shirt not tucked in 2. sagging shorts 3. jewelry (stud earrings ok) 4. school clothes under PE clothes 5. shoes (untied or inappropriate) l

Locker Room Students must use their assigned locker. l No sharing lockers. l No running, chasing, yelling. l 10 Minute Rule. l Lost items? l P. E. clothes available for purchase all year. l
CELL PHONES Cell Phones are NOT, ABSOLUTELLY NOT allowed in the locker rooms. l REASON: All cell phones have cameras and we want to protect all students. l Cell Phones should be kept in the student’s backpack. l
Physical Education Handbook & Fitness Room Permission Slip n n The Handbook can be found on the SIS website under PE. . Parent/Guardian must sign it in 2 places. Student returns signature page to his/her P. E. teacher. This is their first homework assignment.
