What? Summer schools are short programs offered by universities and university colleges during the summer months. • Credits • Special focus
Why? • Increase knowledge during your summer break • International experience abroad • Obtain credits for your curriculum

2. Request credit recognition in KU Leuven curriculum ü Via application form on website ü Criteria: o o o 5 Relevant enough to own program No identical course content as in KU Leuven courses Institution awards credits (3 or 6 ECTS) There is a final evaluation, with a score => transcript of records Approved organizing university Similar level (bachelor or master)
How? 3. Register for the program • Individual • By deadline and following procedure of partner university 4. When accepted, register your participation also in the KU Loket : (link) • When completing registration you have to indicate ‘statute’ & ‘substatute’: select ‘student’ & ‘Freemover’ • Add Summer school + specifics in comment box
How? 5. Attend the summer school 6. Recognition in your ISP in the following academic year ü Add Short Mobility Economics and Business to your ISP (3 or 6 credits) ü E-mail your transcript to summerschool. feb@kuleuven. be ü Pass/fail score
Special programs • University College London: Global Management Summer School: 8 KU Leuven students • Singapore Management University: 8 KU Leuven students • Fudan International Summer Session (Shanghai): 2 KU Leuven students => Calls launched on Toledo
Grant: Mobility for All - Short Mobility • Short Mobility opportunities include summer/winter programmes offered by partner universities. KU Leuven offers 80 grants of € 500 to cover travel costs. • Selection criteria: academic relevance of the mobility, personal development, interest in host country, interest in host university. Priority will be given to students for which this would be the first international experience.
