How is our summer program funded? v Title I Grant - Elementary and Secondary Education Act v Set of programs set up by the US Department of Education to distribute funding to schools v Approximately 94% of school districts across the U. S. qualify for Title I funds v Schools receiving Title I funds are regulated by federal legislation including No Child Left Behind Act

What can Title I funds be used for? v Professional Development v Intervention Programs

Reading and Math Programs Reading: Students will build reading skills through a variety of activities that focus on comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, and writing Math: Students will build mathematic skills through a variety of activities that focus on number sense, fluency, and deepening concepts from the concrete to the pictorial to abstract understanding.
