Tex. Flexible Spending Accounts A Flexible Spending Account is a pre-tax benefit that saves you money on health care and dependent care expenses. Tex. Flex℠ Health Care FSA Use to pay medical, dental, vision, hearing, and prescription drug expenses. Co-pays, dental, vision and other out of pocket medical expenses. Tex. Flex℠ Dependent Care FSA Use to pay expenses including child day care and in home care programs. Day care for dependent children under age 13 and in home care for other eligible dependents. Tex. Flex℠ Limited FSA Use to pay dental and vision expenses. Must be enrolled in the Consumer Directed Health. Select ℠ to be eligible for the LFSA.
Tex. Flex Commuter Spending Accounts A Commuter Spending Account is a pre-tax benefit that saves you money on commuting expenses incurred to and from work. Tex. Flex℠ Parking Spending Account Use to pay parking expenses. This is a month by month benefit. You can enroll and dis-enroll anytime throughout the year. Tex. Flex℠ Transit Spending Account Use to pay transit expenses. This is a month by month benefit. You can enroll and disenroll anytime throughout the year.

How CSAs Work CSA election changes can be made at any time, but must be made by the last day of the month and will be deducted from the following pay period. For example: January 2020 February 2020 March 2020 You enroll in a parking or transit CSA and elect to contribute $100 per month. This is the pay period following your election. You will receive your February paycheck on March 1. On March 1, $100 is deducted pre-tax from your paycheck and available to use on your Tex. Flex debit card. Note: if you are paid twice a month, your contribution will be deducted from your paycheck paid on the first of the month.
