Task 1 – Mindfulness What do you like about summer? Draw yourself in the middle of a piece of paper and surround yourself with things that you like about summer. Here are some ideas…

Task 1 – English Look at the photo of the sun. How many words can you think of to describe the sun? e. g. hot Remember that describing words are called adjectives. Look at my sentence about the sun. Can you spot the adjectives? The hot, fiery sun was burning in the bright blue sky.

Synonyms (words that mean the same) Can you make a list of words that mean the same as hot? Use a thesaurus to help you. Thesaurus for kids

Now we will write some descriptive sentences about the sun using some of the words you have found. Here is an example of a descriptive sentence. It gets better each time because I have added more detail. It is the sun. It is the hot sun shining in the sky. It is the burning scorching sun shining in the bright blue sky. It is the burning scorching sun shining brightly in the blue, crystal clear sky. By adding adjectives, conjunctions and adverbs you can make your sentences shine!

Now try writing 3 sentences of your own about the sun. Use that powerful vocabulary to make noun phrases.

From the answers colour the numbers that you know it is not. 2 nd Way- Headbands numbers Click on the sound button for some question ideas from Miss Coulson One person gives numbers on a post it note to place on each players forehead so they can’t see the number. Each player takes it in turns to ask a questions to others to find out their number

Task 3 – Topic Art Today we will be representing sunflowers in 2 different ways. 1. We will draw a sunflower following a tutorial and colour it in. 2. We will be doing a fork painting of a sunflower.
