Summative Assessment On Our Way To English
Assessment • Assessments are based on practice done in all the activities in a lesson. * Oral- Reading-Writing • Daily formative ( Pencil & Paper) practice activities must be checked or assessed immediately during or after class. Students need feedback to improve their performance. • Once checked, the practice pages from the Student Edition/ Skills Masters must be sent home in their notebook or folder during the 4 weeks of instruction for each unit.
• During the 4 weeks, a grade is given (Summative Assessment) once there has been enough practice completed in the Student Edition/Activity Book-Gr 3 • Summative assessments need to be continuous, not only at the end of the unit. • At the end of the unit, use the Unit Progress Test to assess your students.
