At the school, a barber wipes oil from the loon’s mouth and eyes. In addition, an animal doctor examines the loon for broken bones and gives him water and medicine. Later that night, others come to clean more oil off of the loon and give it a bath. Next, an old woman takes the loon to a deep pool and lets him swim, dive, and eat.
