Once the Marahaja of Tranvancore ordered his cook-use the vegetable scraps instead of throwing them. O. K. z. f. rashid

The cook was in a fix. Idea !! An idea flashed across his mind. z. f. rashid

He collected the vegetable scraps, washed and cut them into long strips z. f. rashid .

The cook boiled the vegetable scraps into in a pot. z. f. rashid

He took out the grinding stone z. f. rashid

Lo and behold !! A new dish !! for the traditional feast. It is AVAIL (uh-vi-ul) z. f. rashid

AVAIL is now one of the traditional dish of kerala. Imagine it came from vegetable waste. z. f. rashid
