A Note… Thank you! Thank you so much for subbing for me today. I know that subbing can be challenging as you’re in a new environment with new kids all the time. I greatly appreciate your willingness to sub and hope that you have a wonderful day. My students know that I have very high expectations for their behavior especially when we have a sub. Please feel free to leave me any notes regarding their behavior and be sure to fill out a “While You Were Out” slip (in the front cover of this binder) so that I know what work was done, as well as who went above and beyond and who needed reminders. I will be sure to address any behavior issues as soon as I return. Also, please feel free to add your name to my sub contact list in the front of my binder. That way I can contact you directly when I know in advance that I will need a sub. Thank you again!

EXAMPLE All emergency procedures are in the red Crisis Manual binder, located on the table behind my desk. In case of emergency, this should be the FIRST thing you grab (as you head out the door for a fire/fire drill, or turn to when an alert is sounded over the intercom) In case of fire (or more likely fire drills), turn off the lights, shut the door and lead the kids down the stairs and out the front doors of the building. After you exit the building, turn right and walk around the corner to the back of the playground (outside the fence). If all else fails, follow the teacher in front of you. Helpful Hints: When using the phone, dial “ 8” first to get out of the building. To reach Sue (secretary) in the office, dial 5051. To reach Mr. Michaels (principal) dial 5050. For other phone numbers, refer to the phone list, taped near my white board near my phone.
