Triple-helix cluster: Shareholders(!)+funds from business, science, public. 179 cluster partner, 7 FTE staff. Areas: biomass, solar, hydro, recycling
Innovative Services foster Innovation Services Ø Analysis of „Future Service Innovation“, „Innovation Quick Check“, „Risk Assessment“ in 40 companies Ø New user-focused services developed on an individual base - e. g. big recycling company, doubling service share Ø 15 user-focused Technology Round Tables fostered joint innovation Ø Joint project development of scientists and R&Dmanagers at Cleantech Innovators Club
More ECO Tools support Innovation Ø Global, unique „ECO Future Radar“ provided 50 cleantech biz trends to 500 companies developing innovative business models Ø Map of 100 relevant green tech research topics incl. researchers Ø Strategic human resource plans with 30 companies enabled innovation + standardised services
PP-Partnership secures Sustainability Ø Partners rate ECO services 1. 4 „Excellent“ (1 -5 scale) Ø Share of self-finance grew from close to zero to > 40 %. Ø More self-finance until 2015 due to tripled company funds + clear strategic focus (PPP) Ø Cooperation with 50 clusters in all international networks
High impact, objectives exceeded ü Nearly doubled concentration of businesses Green Tech turnover / GRP grew from 5% to 9% ü Green Tech Turnover growth with av. 18%/a now faster than world markets with av. 11%/a ü 5. 500 new green tech jobs were created within 5 years, av. +10%/a ü ECO leeds only ranking (US) as Nr. 1 cleantech location worldwide, big headquarters attracted ü „World-Class-Cluster“ in the pilot audit of new EU Cluster Management Excellence Label + Styrian products of last 5 years saved ~40 Mio. t CO 2/a around the globe (2. 5* Styrian emissions)
