Study Skills Agenda Use Agendas should be filled out for each core class on a daily basis. Good Note taking - Notes should be organized with titles. - Notes should be in the correct subject notebook. - Notes should be legible with limited doodling. - Worksheets and documents are organized in folders and binders. Rework Math Problems - Each night students should rework math problems from class, meaning cover up original answer and redo the work. - Students should ask Ms. Gutscher for help if needed during Homeroom the very next morning or during study hall. Fully Participate in class discussions - Listen to the ideas of others. - Add to the conversation. - Work out all problems given in class. - Ask Questions. Ask for Help when needed - Take Notes. - Make Connections. Watch Math Videos - Watch the math review videos and mini lessons by unit found on Ms. Gutscher’s website. - Watch the videos at start of each unit, Before quizzes/test, and when confused on homework or corrections. Make Flashcards - For math formulas - For all vocabulary - For all science & social studies content. - After each day of notes, create flashcards covering key concepts. - Review cards each day on the way to school, during Homeroom, and before bed. Read the Text - For science and social studies students should read the textbook at the start of each unit and to review for test. - Math textbooks can also be used as a resource. Read the unit and look at sample problems in text to help with homework and corrections. Use online resources found on Website. - Links for Khan Academy, Discovery Ed, CK 12, Brain Pop, Ks 3 Bitesize, and other resources can all be found on my website. - These sites should be used as a resource for remediation and/or enrichment on a weekly basis.
