What is “housing”? The dwelling provides man with the possibility of recreation and reproduction of generations. Need of Safety The dwelling assures protection against unfavourable impact of the environment, both natural and social. Social Needs The dwelling assures the realization of social processes of human activity: communication, unision; is a material basis for family building which is the initial social unit. The Need of Respect Possessing a dwelling increases self-esteem and status of its owner, reflects his social position. The Need of Selfassertion The dwelling provides the person with the environment for selfdevelopment and self-realization, expression of his creative abilities.
