DON’T OVER THINK IT!!!

The Number 7 is a SYMBOL of ‘FULLNESS’ or ‘COMPLETENESS’ or ‘PERFECTION’, because of its relation to a COMPLETE CYCLE, as WEEKS of SEVEN days.

The Number 7 is also a ‘SACRED’ NUMBER! The (symbolic DIVINE number) is 3 + (symbolic number of CREATION) 4 7

The Number 7 The symbolic DIVINE number 3, symbolically represents a ‘COMPLETE’ or ‘STRUCTURED’ WHOLE, as in the Trinity of the Godhead; or a 3 -STRAND cord [Eccl 4: 12], etc.

The Number 7 The symbolic number of CREATION and this WORLD is 4, i. e. the 4 corners of the earth, or the 4 directions of the compass.

The Number 7 Therefore, 3 + 4 = 7, symbolizes those things which REPRESENT the ‘FULLNESS’, the ‘COMPLETION’ or ‘PERFECTION’ of that which is ‘SACRED’!

THEREFORE – think of the 7 congregations: SYMBOLICALLY – NOT LITERALLY! AS REPRESENTATIVE of ALL CONGREGATIONS then and now!

7 WHO or WHAT are these SPIRITS?

DEFINING the SEVEN SPIRITS of Revelation 1: 4 Revelation 4: 5 … there were SEVEN LAMPS of FIRE BURNING before throne, which are the SEVEN SPIRITS of GOD;

7 Spirits or 7 Lamps of Fire? Exodus 25: 37 7 Lamps The purpose of these ‘seven lamps’ was to ILLUMINE the area in front of the lampstand Lampstand [Ex 25: 31]

The metaphorical significance of the ‘seven spirits of God’ is to ‘illuminate’ or ‘enlighten’ the minds of God’s people to the truth of His word and to enable them to understand spiritual things

1 Corinthians 2: 12 -14 [12] Now we HAVE RECEIVED, NOT the SPIRIT of the world, but the SPIRIT Who is from God, that we MIGHT KNOW the things freely GIVEN to us by God,

[13] which things we also speak, NOT in WORDS TAUGHT by HUMAN WISDOM, but in THOSE TAUGHT by the Spirit, combining SPIRITUAL [thoughts] with SPIRITUAL [words].

[14] But a NATURAL MAN DOES NOT ACCEPT the THINGS of the SPIRIT of God; for they are FOOLISHNESS to him, and he CANNOT UNDERSTAND them, because they are SPIRITUALLY APPRAISED [(G 350) DISCERNED].

Application: In 2 Samuel 22: 29 we read, For Thou art my LAMP, O LORD; And the LORD ILLUMINES my darkness.

Application: and, Psalm 18: 28 says of the LORD God, For Thou DOST LIGHT my LAMP; The LORD my GOD ILLUMINES my darkness.

Zechariah 4: 2 Here the angel-messenger asks Zechariah what he sees. Zechariah responds, “I see, and behold, A LAMPSTAND… … and its SEVEN LAMPS…. What is the meaning?

Zechariah 4: 10 … But THESE SEVEN… [LAMPS, vs 2] … these are the EYES of the LORD which range to and fro throughout the earth. ”

The ‘these seven’ are the ‘seven LAMPS’ of Zechariah 4: 2. By implication the ‘seven SPIRITS of God’ of Revelation 4: 5 and are identified as “the EYES of the LORD” in Zechariah 4: 10

The EYE’S of the Lord…

‘EYE’ (H 5869 / G 3788) Meaning an EYE, or a spring, a fountain. When a spring, or fountain – the meaning is SOURCE…. … the SOURCE of LIGHT by which the EYE is ENABLED to SEE [Prov 20: 12]

Luke 11: 34 -36 [34] “The LAMP of your body is your EYE; when your eye is clear, your whole body also is FULL of LIGHT; BUT when it is BAD, your body also is FULL of DARKNESS.

[35] Then watch out that the light in you may not be darkness. [36] If therefore your whole body is FULL of LIGHT, with no dark part in it, it shall be WHOLLY ILLUMINED, as when the LAMP ILLUMINES you with its rays. ”

The KEY THING to remember from Zechariah 4: 10 is “the EYES of the LORD… range TO and FRO throughout the earth. ”

Application: Since, 2 Chronicles 16: 9 states, “For the EYES of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may STRONGLY SUPPORT those whose HEART is COMPLETELY His. . ”

Application: Since, Psalm 33: 18 states, “… the EYE of the LORD is on those who fear Him, On those who HOPE FOR HIS LOVINGKINDNESS, ”

Also, consider Revelation 5: 6, And I saw in middle of the Throne and of the four living creatures [or beings] and in middle of the elders a Lamb standing as if having been slain having seven horns and SEVEN EYES which are the SEVEN SPIRITS of GOD HAVING BEEN SENT OUT INTO ALL THE EARTH.

It Is Necessary to Understand the “‘EYES of the LORD’ which range to and fro throughout the earth” in Zechariah 4: 10 are also the “SEVEN EYES’ of the Lamb slain of Revelation 5: 6

It Is Necessary to Understand these are “the SEVEN SPIRITS of God in Revelation 5: 6, SENT OUT INTO ALL THE EARTH”

By Necessary Inference These all equate to being: “the SEVEN SPIRITS who are before throne” Revelation 1: 4 and the “the seven Spirits of God” Revelation 3: 1; 4: 5; 5: 6

“the SEVEN SPIRITS of God who are before throne” Revelation 1: 4; 3: 1; 4: 5; 5: 6 REPRESENT the ‘FULL’ and ‘COMPLETE’ and ‘PERFECT’ ILLUMINATION of God’s WORD to God’s SPIRITUAL people!
