Luke 1: 49, 51 [49] “For the Mighty One has done great things for me; And holy is His name. [51] He has done mighty deeds with His arm; He has scattered those who were PROUD [G 5244] in the THOUGHTS of their HEART.

Proverbs 11: 2 When PRIDE [H 2087] comes, then comes DISHONOR, but with the HUMBLE [H 6800] IS WISDOM. [see James 3: 14 -17]

Proverbs 29: 23 A person’s PRIDE [H 1343] will bring him LOW, but a HUMBLE [H 8217] SPIRIT will obtain HONOR.

[20] The one who GIVES ATTENTION TO the WORD shall find good, and BLESSED is the one TRUSTING in the LORD. Proverbs 16: 18 -20

TEMPTATIO N – James 1: 14 PRIDE TEMPTATION HUMILITY “But each one is TEMPTED when they are carried away and enticed by their own LUST”

1 John 2: 15, 16, 17 [16] For all that is in the world, the lust of the FLESH and the lust EYES and the PRIDEFUL MANNER of LIFE, is not from the Father but is from the world.

Genesis 3: 6 [6] When the woman saw that the tree was GOOD for FOOD, … a DELIGHT to the EYES, … and that the tree was DESIRABLE to MAKE ONE WISE, she took… and gave also to her husband….

Luke 4: 1 -13 [1] And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led about by the Spirit in the wilderness [2] forty days, being TEMPTED by the devil….

James 4: 5 -10 [5] Or do you think that the Scripture speaks to no purpose: “He JEALOUSLY DESIRES the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us”?

[6] But He gives a greater grace. “GOD IS OPPOSED TO Therefore it says, “GOD IS OPPOSED THETO PROUD , [G 5244], THE PROUD BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE. ” [G 5011] James 4: 5 -10

[7] SUBMIT therefore to God. RESIST the devil and he will flee from you. [8] DRAW NEAR to God and He WILL DRAW NEAR to you. … James 4: 5 -10

[8] … CLEANSE your hands, you sinners; PURIFY your hearts you double-minded. [10] HUMBLE [G 5013] yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He WILL EXALT you. James 4: 5 -10

1 Peter 5: 5 You younger men, likewise, BE SUBJECT to your elders; and all of you, CLOTHE yourselves with HUMILITY [G 5012] toward one another…
