The US is known as a nation of dog lovers
Many dogs are very spoiled
Many have lots of love, food and toys
But one dog is treated differently…
Even though in the past, he was considered royalty
He is gentle
affectionate
and funny, like any other dog
The racing industry wants us to believe that greyhounds are treated like companion animals
But that is not true at all!
They are confined in small cages for long hours each day
Very often they get broken legs, multiple fractures and cardiac arrest
Their dog racing career is usually over at 3 ½ years of age
Their food is not good at all
And they are given dangerous drugs
Greyhound racing is not good for the economy In Arizona, the greyhound race tracks (Tucson and Phoenix) do not pay taxes on off track betting revenues
Greyhound racing… Ø Ø Ø It is not a fun sport It is not affordable entertainment for the whole family Does not promote tourism in Arizona It is detrimental to the taxpayers in Arizona Does not consider the welfare of the animals
Greyhound racing… Ø Ø Is inhumane Is cruel Desensitizes children Should be stopped in the state of Arizona
You are a kid, but you can help Ø Ø Ø Tell all your friends and family about the truth of greyhound racing Wear your GREY 2 K USA button and educate people Do not attend dog races Ask adults you know not to bet on dog races With the help of your parents, write to state officials to express your opposition Support the efforts of GREY 2 K USA and other advocacy groups

Greyhounds deserve to be free!
Come gentle Greyhound; rest your head in my hands, And let me rescue you from this place if I can. This place of sorrow, abuse and neglect, And I will give you a better life where you can forget Sue Stoddart
Thank you very much for helping me!
