Health & Safety Guidelines • When accessing the Advice Centre, Library, Student Association or accessing support from any Student Services Department, we expect all students to follow the Covid-19 Health and Safety Guidelines. • These guidelines are available as part of the Induction process and in the electronic Student Handbook.
Electronic Personal Learning Plan (E-PLP) Your E-PLP will allow you to record your personal progress throughout your course and check off your Learning Outcomes as you achieve them.
Bursary/EMA Funding Bursary/EMA funding is for students on FE non-advanced courses up to, but not including, HNC. EMA/Bursary awards depend on household financial circumstances and can include: • Maintenance Award • Course Expenses • Travel Expenses
Bursary/EMA Funding • Apply online through the Student Portal • Inform the Bursary team of any changes at bursaries@slc. ac. uk • Meet engagement requirements for payments to made. • Don’t go on holiday without informing the Bursary team in advance, in writing. • Funding can be suspended if absences exceed six weeks. January starts shortened to three weeks.
SAAS Funding • • SAAS (Student Awards Agency Scotland) funding is for Higher Education courses such as HNC and HND. Application is via the SAAS website: www. saas. gov. uk Support is means-tested It covers: • Tuition Fees • Bursary • Student Loan • Grants
SAAS Funding • Keep SAAS and Student Loans Company informed of changes. • HE Discretionary funds can only be awarded if maximum means-tested loan is taken.
Discretionary Funds • • Discretionary funds are for students facing financial hardship. Funds are cash limited, so it is recommended you apply as soon as you enrol.
