Germanic Life Before the Huns v The Hun invasion from the east pushed the Germans South and West into the Roman Empire.

Visigoths = Western Ostrogoths Goths= Eastern Germanic Tribes. Goths v A Germanic tribe called the Goths was divided into two groups—one was called the Visigoths, the other, Ostrogoths
Germanic Tribes v Both tribes were attacked by Attila and the Huns and tried to get protection from the Roman Empire
Germanic Tribes v Rome agreed to protect the Goths if they promised loyalty and gave up their weapons.
Germanic Tribes v The Visigoths did not like how the Roman leaders treated them and rebelled against Rome.
Germanic Tribes v After Alaric and the Visigoths left, the Vandals later attacked, looted, and set fire to Rome.
