Take part in the programme “Jeunes ambassadeurs” A programme designed to welcome and integrate international students in the economic and cultural life of the region during their year abroad. Becoming a ‘young ambassador’ allows to: § Benefit from an economic ‘coaching’ § Attend numerous events: company visits, international conferences § Take part in a generously prized competition involving a project bringing closer the Rhône-Alpes region and the student’s home region. Expense estimate The very minimum needed to live on a month is 430€ (this is the amount we require our students have to guarantee, which is very tight. The minimum should be between 500 and 600€ a month. Main expenses are as followed : § Rent for a renovated room: 300€ a month § § § § (possibility to get the CAF rent allowance if you stay over 6 months) Meals: 2. 80€ a meal x 60: 168€ a month Transport : 24€ for a monthly pass Insurance responsabilité civile: 15€ a year Insurance for room: 21€ a year French medical insurance (70% reimbursed): 200€ a year French mutual insurance (the other 30% reimbursed): 36€ a year The 2 options are cheaper than the American insurance Books: 50€ a year (students are not required to buy books and can get everything in the library) TGV Paris Grenoble: 170€ (around 100€ or less if you buy your tickets in advance) Crédits photos : © université de Grenoble / A.
