Tracy and Nigel – Both were very sociable and engaging. They were prepared with very valid questions and definitely made use of the conversation. Tracy was especially interested in wanting to know more information about social groups to join in the University. I think it was highlighted with this particular session, the lack of accessibility to this kind of information. Perhaps in future, some kind of information package could be provided to ELICOS students, or even instructions on how to obtain such information.

This is a quote from a former volunteer who has recently been employed in Sydney: “In my closing remark, I would like to thank Ms Anne Burnett as well as the other wonderful members of the staff at the Language Centre, for organising such a fantastic and exciting program. Both volunteers and the new students who take part in it set out to face post-University life with added acquired benefits such as self-confidence, self-discipline, leadership skills, team spirit and a positive mindset” Rajiv Gokool.
