Student Contract – Due 10/30 I, ______________, would like to participate in the Battle of the Books competition for the 2014 -2015 school year. I understand that it is my responsibility to read as many books as I can on this year’s list. I also understand that the more books I read, the better chance I have to help my team during the end of year competition. I also know that I must read at least four books on the list. If I do not read four books, I understand that I will not be allowed to participate in the end of year competition.

Battle Teams • Teams will be formed based on advisory groups that are already together and locations in the building • Teams will be 10 – 15 students • Will meet quarterly during advisory or lunch to touch base on what books have been read by the group

What Do I Do Now? • Complete your student contract and turn it in

What Do I Do Now? • Complete your student contract and turn it in by next Thursday, October 30 th to your advisory teacher or room 223 • Once you have turned in your form, you can start checking out books. They’ll be available starting second quarter, on Wednesday, November 5 th November – check out books and start reading December – first meeting with your team
