Program Goals § To teach students refusal skills for resisting peer pressure § To provide services for students at risk of AOD use. (i. e, stress, friends who use, relationship issues) § To provide students and families with community referrals if outside help is needed.

VAASA Varsity Athletes Against Substance Abuse § Co-Advisor of the VAASA club with Ms.

VAASA Varsity Athletes Against Substance Abuse § Co-Advisor of the VAASA club with Ms. Kutch § Open to varsity athletes who are interested in raising awareness throughout the school about dangers of substance abuse and unhealthy behaviors. § Field trips, PSA’s, bulletin boards, school wide awareness.

§ This program is completely voluntary. § Most students self-refer to the SAS counselor.
