Advise Generating Process l First: these courses are required courses and are valid to take next semester. l l SAS 2 covers: Co-requisite, Pre-requisite and indirect-requisite Second: these courses suggested are the most important courses in comparing with other required courses l l rank courses by the formula level (L) is the unit for measuring how “deep” a course is required
6 steps to Produce an advice l l l “Rank” all courses l executed by administrator every time he/she change section information or pre requisite information Build list of section need to finish l executed when a student need an advice. The lists of section need to finish are totally different in different departments. Build list of courses required by those sections Remove from list courses the student passed Remove from list courses which does not meet the requisite constrain. Show the list of recommend courses order by course “Rank”
