CHALLENGES Antoni Gaudi the former architect of the Sagrada Familia died in 1926 as a result of getting hit by a trolley car on his way to work on the Familia. The other architects have attempted to follow all of his ideas and designs but revolutionaries in 1932 made it very hard because they burned down the workshop containing all of his plans and models. Therefore, construction has taken longer because they had to make a new design based on Gaudi’s ideas. On top of that, the construction of the building was delayed frequently because of low funding.
