How will UNEP strengthen its regional presence • Consolidating and strengthening the existing locations of its regional offices and its associated sub-regional, country and liaison offices • Does not necessarily mean substantially increasing of number of UNEP offices in regions • Harness strategic partnerships with the UN system • Establishment of additional presence will be based on demand, opportunities and priorites • UN regular budget for Regional Directors, regional subprogramme coordinators and other kex staff in regional offices
