STREET ART (1)
WHAT IS STREET ART? • Street art is unofficial and independent visual art created in public locations for public visibility. Street art is associated with the terms "independent art", "postgraffiti", "neo-graffiti", and guerrilla art.
STREET ART • Street art is a form of artwork that is displayed in public on surrounding buildings, on streets, trains, and on other publicly viewed surfaces. Many instances come in the form of guerrilla art, which is intended to make a personal statement about the society that the artist lives within. The work has moved from the beginnings of graffiti and vandalism to new modes where artists work to bring messages, or just beauty, to an audience https: //www. tate. org. uk/kids/ex plore/kids-view/meet-streetartist
TASK- JUST THE BACKGROUND (WALL) How can we make it look like a wall? • On blank paper, draw and colour your background- the wall. • Remember to make your background a light colour, so you can see the street art. • Its best just to shade the background wall lightly.
