Stop & Think for 30 seconds! Is the work area tidy and free from cullet & waste? Is it hot, cold, sharp, heavy or leaking? Could it move or fall / can it hit me or others? Do I have enough room or could I fall? Is it isolated, drained and locked off? Do I know about any chemicals involved? Do I have the right tools and equipment? Do I need a permit or safety document? Are other people aware of where I’m working? Where is the nearest emergency equipment? Am I wearing the right PPE? How do I dispose of the waste? If you can’t do it safely…. DON’T DO IT !
