We provide comprehensive diagnosis and management of patients with ILD and run the Suffolk County Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group for patients and their families. Our center functions together with the Departments of Radiology, Pathology, Rheumatology and Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Alpa G. Desai is the Director, and Dr. Nadia Hasaneen the Associate Director of this Center. The Pulmonary Hypertension Center is co- Directed by Dr. Paul Strachan and Dr. Jignesh Patel, where an interdisciplinary and multifaceted approach to diagnosing and managing patients with Pulmonary Hypertension takes place, including evaluation of the patient by Right Heart Catheterization, Cardio- pulmonary exercise testing and 6 -minute walk. The fellow gains invaluable experience in these subspecialties under the direct guidance of Dr. 2 Alpa G. Desai, Dr. Nadia Hasaneen, Dr. Paul Strachan, & Dr. Jignesh Patel. Alpa G.
