INTRODUCTION Welcome to the new version of “Survivor” in this season it will be themed “Stone Age”. In this season there will be various challenges and facts about each era of the Stone Age. The eras are Paleolithic Era ( Old stone Age) Mesolithic Era ( MIddle Stone Age) and Neolithic Era (New Stone Age). Please enjoy the new hit tv show ‘Survivor Stone Age”. These are the questions we will be answering throughout our presentation: Question 1: What was the weather mostly like in the stone age? Question 2: What was the food mostly like in the stone age? Question 3: Where did they live? Question 4: What did the people use and do during the stone age?

Paleolithic Era The Paleolithic Era is the Old Stone Age. This Era is not

Paleolithic Era The Paleolithic Era is the Old Stone Age. This Era is not very advanced yet. There are many parts of each era like the food, the weather and the different artifacts and much more progressed over each era. The people of the Paleolithic Era lived in places like South Africa. They were not very advanced with tools. For example they used hand axes which were made out of stone, and were made especially for chopping. CHALLENGE!!!!!: The host Jeff Probst said, “Go into the woods and find the food they ate in the Stone Age. ” HINT! The weather out was cold in South Africa. The contestants grabbed their woven baskets and went foraging in the woods. They saw birds flying in the sky and a variety of wild animals. Now keep in mind those are some of the foods early humans ate but Shhhhhhh! they don’t know that. Other foods are nuts and a variety of different plants. Man himself was a food gatherer but they are playing his part. The whole objective of the challenge is to gather all the food on this list. The items are: 1. Wild Animals 2. Nuts 3. Fish 4. Birds

Mesolithic Era The Mesolithic Era is the middle time during the Stone Age (9,

Mesolithic Era The Mesolithic Era is the middle time during the Stone Age (9, 000 -5, 000 BC). The Mesolithic Era is when they started making new things that we might have today. They have the same things that were in the Paleolithic Era like food and tools just new versions of them. The weather changed, the crops started growing faster than they usually would when it was Fall back in the Paleolithic Era. There has been some major upgrades to the stone age. CHALLENGE!!!! Go and find some clay that the stone age citizens used to create pottery which was their hobby. HINT!! Clay is found by mostly rivers and lakes. They took off racing in South Sweden. As the contestants came they sprinted to the finish line with the clay. Throughout this era the weather changed it was warm out. Over time they discovered more food than just meat, they had berries, crops, and herbs. They had the same things too like fish.

Neolithic Era is the New Stone Age. It was the final era of the stone age. (2, 000 - 4, 500 BC). Neolithic people lived in civilizations. In the Neolithic Era they had vegetables like barely, and they ate meat such as pigs. CHALLENGE!!! Go out and find pieces of their shelter. HINT! They were made of rock and mud. The contestants went into the South African woods wildly to find pieces of Neolithic shelter. Did you know that one shelter was for the men, and the women and children had another. The contestants found stone, and clay that they used for walls. Contestants also found mud-brick walls that is also used. They came with immense portion of mud and rock and the next part of the challenge was about to go down they had to build their own shelter like the early humans. In the Neolithic Era humans are very advanced and evolved. They had metal tools. They also domesticated dogs, sheeps, goats, cows and pigs.
