At times one might think that visiting an underground art gallery, or think you are walking into a work of art, or exploring a futuristic scenery of a film that is about to be shot. At times it seems that the intention is to ignore that this is a public transportation system. Swedish language is called Stockholms tunnelbana (simply the Stockholm subway), and judging by the 25 images that follow, not hard to understand why we include it among the most brilliant and creative subway systems in the world
In total, the Stockholm subway system has 110 kilometers across some 100 stations (47 of them underground). Once underground, it costs soak in the feeling of being in a real museum: each station is decorated with artwork. Or even, you intervened as an art installations. In fact it is often touted as "the largest art gallery in the world". ? ? Walking this subway system, we must be careful to observe pieces of art, mosaics, sculptures, paintings, reliefs, all scattered passages and stations belonging to nearly a hundred artists. Even, we could until we find temporary exhibitions. Curiously, the Metro was inaugurated in 1950, from expansions in later decades, began to incorporate the aspect of caves through the use of concrete forms on the rock, an aesthetic that was expanded to numerous stations. Of course not all stations are equal, and there are some most impressive and desirable than others.
