Introducing the steam engine The industrial revolution made an impact to the future of the world. It would create technology that could carry humans. The making of couches in factories easier. And could make candy. But what started transportation. We all know the first transporter vehicle was not an automobile but a train. The first working locomotive steam engine starting in 1804. While the steam engine was built in 1698. Let’s go through history and “steam off” some time on this engine

THE HISTORY BETWEEN IT PT 1 The first one to be made was in the late 1600 and was used to draw water from flooded mines. Spanish mining administrator Jeronimo de Ayanz is supposedly be the first to solve the problem of flooded mines. He registered a patent for a machine that uses steam engine power to suck water from mines. The Spanish inventor is also known as the first to make air conditioning systems

THE HISTORY BETWEEN IT PT 2 Meanwhile, an Englishman justified himself as to be the first to make the steam engine. 1968, Thomas Savery is thinking. “by using Denis Papin’s invention on the pressure cooker. I think I can build a steam engine”, and so he did. Thomas built the very first steam engine in the industrial revolution. This steam engine had a cylinder and piston that pumped water from flooded mines using pressure. Using two steam boilers, Savery continued pumping water from mines.

COMPARISONS BETWEEN SAVERY AND NEWCOMER It was success, until a problem was found. The engine only worked in shallow depths Luckily another Englishman helped Thomas Savery’s invention. Thomas Newcomen made an engine where his system used a redesigned steam engine that eliminated the need for accumulated steam pressure. The flaw in Savery’s system caused the engine to explode. Newcomen’s steam engine was the first functioning steam engine to operate a water pump

THE FLAW AND THE SOLUTION The machines was highly inefficient requiring a constant flow of cold water to cool the important steam cylinder Ivan Polzunov was the first to create the two-cylinder steam engine. The Russian’s had the power. The model had a power raring of 24 kw. Finally, James Watt’s improvements made the steam engine revolutionized. He used separate condensers in the original design. He came up with the idea in 1765. The design itself took place 11 years later. There were 60, 000 cars powered by steam engine during 1897 -1927 in the USA

What was the steam engine used for?

What was the steam engine used for?

ITS USE The steam engine was used in factories, trains, cars and many more.

ITS USE The steam engine was used in factories, trains, cars and many more. The steam engine impacted transportation in the industrial revolution. Because of the steam engine, George Stephenson and Richard Trevithick came up with an idea of transportation. A moving object built on rails called train. The first steam locomotive was built the 21 of February 2018. The principle of using the locomotive steam engine was for transporting goods or materials in need for use such as coal, food, plastic and other goods.

ITS USE PT 2 The steam engines were also used in ships, road vehicles

ITS USE PT 2 The steam engines were also used in ships, road vehicles etc. In this era, steam engines are used for making electricity. Steam powered generators we still use are fossil fuel power plants or nuclear power plant. The steam engines that powered the Industrial revolution? We don’t use them anymore.

EXPLANATION Coal below the piston creates heat, then the heat is used for steam which the it will move into a piston cylinder. This causes the pressure to rise causing the piston to go up against atmospheric pressure. When cold water is sprayed into the cylinder, this lowers the temperature making the pressure to drop. Causing the piston to lower.

THE END In conclusion. The steam engine was a major impact on the world. Without the invention, who knows what could’ve happened. The steam Engine was the spirit that lifted the industrial revolution.
