SOLID Water in solid form is ice. Water as a solid is found in glaciers and snow.

GAS Water is gas form is called WATER VAPOR A liquid turns to a gas when it is heated to a certain point. Heat rises, therefore the vapor goes up into the air.

GAS Water is gas form is called WATER VAPOR After the water vapor rises it mixes with cooler air and forms clouds. This process is called condensation.

As WATER VAPOR cools…. .

LIQUID Liquid water is formed inside the cloud. The water gets too heavy to stay inside the cloud so it falls to the earth. This process is called precipitation.

As liquid water cools…. .

SOLID Water in solid form is ice. If precipitation freezes it is snow or hail. Very cold temperatures freeze ground water into glaciers.
