Recidivism To commit a criminal offense resulting in a new conviction and sentence to the Wisconsin DOC. • WI DOC recidivism rates represent the number of persons who have recidivated divided by the total number of persons in a defined population. • The offense date is the date of the recidivism event. • All recidivism rates are based on only Wisconsin offensesthat have resulted in court dispositions that include custody or supervisionunder the WI DOC.
