The two Line buttons are appearances of the main line (extension) of the phone. § Line/call appearance buttons and lights can represent: − physical lines, − calls for your extension, or − calls from a group that your extension is part of § Pressing a line/call appearance button, connects you to the line or a call it represents. § The line/call appearance light indicates the status of that line or call. § When the phone is taken off-hook, the phone automatically selects a line for you. 6

6867 i Making & Receiving Calls Sending an Incoming Call to Voicemail § Send an incoming call directly to voicemail without answering the call by pressing the Goodbye button without picking up the handset, or by pressing the Ignore softkey. If you press the Silence softkey, your phone will stop ringing, but your caller will hear ringing and roll to voice mail. If you are already on the phone, your incoming call should ring on your second line and roll to voicemail if you don’t answer. Your phone screen displays a voicemail icon displaying the number of pending messages if the caller leaves a message. Ending Calls § To end a call, press the Goodbye button or the Drop softkey. If connected through the handset, you can also place the handset back on hook to end the call. 9

Retrieving a Held Call § If you have more than one call on hold, you can reconnect to a held call by pressing the line/call appearance button where that call is being held. Press the Goodbye button or the Drop softkey to disconnect the call. 12

Complete the transfer immediately after you have entered the number. The call goes directly to the extension or outside line you transferred to. Consultative Transfer § Consult with the person you are transferring the call to before you complete the transfer. Remain on the line until the receiving party answers the call. After consulting with the receiving party, you can either complete the transfer or cancel the transfer to go back to the original call. 14

It can Conference a total of 15 parties. § With your first caller on the line, press the Conference button or the Conference softkey. The first caller is put on hold. § Dial the extension or 9 plus the external number of the person you wish to Conference with. § Press the Cancel softkey if you make a mistake, go to voice mail, etc. You may speak with the other person in private before completing the Conference. § Press the Conference button or Conference softkey again to join all three parties. § Repeat the process to additional parties if needed. 15

You can forward to an extension, or to 9 plus an external number. § Pressing the Call Fwd softkey on the phone accesses the Call Forward menus. § Enter the Number to Forward calls in fields for : − All Calls - forward all calls − Busy - forward when both lines on the phone are busy − No Answer - forward when calls to a line haven’t been answered within a certain number of rings § Use the Navigation button to move to the On Checkbox beside the Forward mode you are activating, and press the button to enable the Call Forward mode. You can view, scroll, and delete line items in the Callers List from the IP phone UI. 6867 i Voice Mail § § § Voice Mail is a feature button assigned to a top softkey. When you first get your phone, your voicemail needs to be set up by you. Press the Voicemail softkey and follow the prompts. Your extension number is your mailbox number. The default initial password is 288487 followed by #. You will be prompted to change your passcode and record your name. Your passcode must be 6 -12 digits, and cannot contain sequential numbers. To check voicemail remotely, you can call your Comm. Pilot voice portal number, 470 -498 -4520, and follow the prompts. You can also call your own phone number, and when your call rolls to voicemail, press the star key and follow the prompts. When you have new voice mail messages, you will have the voice mail message indicator on the top right corner of your phone. The number in the circle indicates how many new messages you have. Voice mail messages will also appear in your E-mail as WAV files. The messages must be deleted from both your mailbox and your E-mail. Your Message Waiting Light (red light on top right corner of phone) will also flash to indicate you have new messages. To check voice mail, press the Voicemail softkey on your phone and follow the prompts. * 24
