State of Alaska Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management Public Education and Outreach • March 25 -31, 2007 - “Tsunami Awareness Week” • NOAA Weather Radios distributed to the communities of Ketchikan, Seward, Sitka, Cold Bay and Sand Point. The radios are placed in critical facilities such as schools, fire departments, hospitals, etc. • The DVD “Ocean Fury” distributed to schools. Included in this distribution were copies to the Alaska Tsunami Education Program (AETP). ATEP is a federally funded program directed towards tsunami education for students K-12.
