State Competition • March 8 -10 • Will be back mid-day on Saturday the 10 th • State Competition Fee • $180, online payment • By next Thursday, 1/18 • Be on top of it, you’ve done a lot of work, don’t miss the deadline!

Requirements • Turn in FINAL paper by Monday, 1/22 • Must have statement of assurances signed by all partners • Paper drafts will be redistributed at the end of the meeting today • Paid state competition fee • Attend 4 workshops (everyone gets a credit for today’s cancelled meeting)

Common Mistakes • Page Numbers • The bottom of the page • Starting with executive summary • Follow DECA GUIDELINES for your event • Visuals need to be inside the margins • Must be DOUBLE SPACED (exec summary can be single or double) • Table of contents not formatted correctly • Add more graphics and colors • Bibliography in MLA format • Remove random spaces between sections • Spell out numbers 1 -10 • Proofread for spelling and grammar • Must be at least half of the page limit • Executive Summary includes information from EVERY section

Paper Draft pick-up • Pick up your papers in room M 503. • It has suggestions on it. Ask if you have questions about them, fix and turn in any time before 1/22 to M 503.
