ACT Project Screening Objectives Primary objectives: Effective project screening is critical to the success of the project with an emphasis on 4 key elements (FATI): 1. Focus: Project clearly scoped with defined deliverables 2. Alignment: ED, Board Chair, and Chair of Strategic Planning fully in support 3. Time: Timing must fit situation and client must commit resources to support 4. ACT Screening Process (For Clients) 1. Interest form review 2. Application Review • Client

ACT Screening Process (For Clients) 1. Interest form review 2. Application Review • Client submits interest form • Telephone call with ACT screeners to determine preliminary mutual fit • If yes, client submits application • ACT screeners interview w Board Chair & ED • Outline scope / objectives • Assess feasibility/fit • Confirm alignment/ time commitment • If yes, begin project scoping 3. Scoping & Prioritizing • Scope project objectives, deliverables, and likely activities/ skill sets • Explore capacity of client to staff • Determine fast track v full team • ACT weighs all submissions and determines which move forward 4. Project Posting & Recruitment 5. Briefing & Sounding Board • ACT prepares posting for volunteer recruitment • Review with client for approval • Go/no go depending on recruitment, ACT’s ability to staff • ACT project leader comes on board • Sounding board meeting with project leader, screener and client • Project leaders refine scope, objectives, and outline workplan with client 6.
