PURPOSE The purpose of creating data walls was to ensure teachers and staff had access to a quick and easy glance at their student’s testing information from the previous year in order to aide in lesson planning and tutorial sessions.
PLANNING Planning began after a meeting at a different school in which the principal noticed their data walls and wanted to incorporate it on our campus. Student identification pictures were printed, as well as any special education indicators, all testing information from the previous year, and notecards and colored dots were purchased for coding purposes. Creation of the data walls took place during a campus staff development day.

CONCLUSION After notecards were completed, teachers attached them to correct data walls according to their percentiles. Several weeks after the completion of the project, a survey was given to teachers and staff. Results indicated that the data wall system had a positive impact on lesson planning and tutorial sessions as teachers were able to easily see where their students were academically and plan lessons/tutorial sessions accordingly.
