ST. ROWEIS • Was from Miniet-Yamin, Egypt. Also known as St. Freig. • Worked on farm - carried salt to sell on small camel named “Roweiss” Roweiss (means small head) • In humility, called himself “Roweiss” • During persecutions went to Cairo

PRAYER gives us VICTORY! VICTORY • The devils always fight us, and try to take us away from God • The devil is VERY powerful, like a “strong man” • But God is MUCH MORE powerful, “a stronger man” • When we pray, God helps us to defeat our enemy (the devil)

PRAYER gives us VICTORY! VICTORY • Beware of the devil’s tricks! tricks • He makes you feel: – BUSY… BUSY no time to pray – TIRED … no energy to pray – DISTRACTED … no concentration to pray FIGHT ! • Do NOT give into the devil’s tricks “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4: 7)
