St Paul’s Family Church, Wibsey WELCOME TO YOUR 8 th September 2020

Tube video, it is advise to put it on full screen. When you have finished to watch them, just come back to this presentation.
THIS WEEK, YOU WILL NEED: For the game: dirty pebbles to clean. For the craft activity: A 4 sheets, scissors, colouring pens.
Gathering Prayer
From the top of my head (Touch head) to the tips of my toes; (Touch toes) from the lobes of my ears (Touch ear lobes) to the end of my nose; (Touch nose) from my back, to my front (Turn round) to my wiggly fingers, (stretch out arms and wiggle fingers) God loves me! (jump up and down)
Play
Offer dirty pebbles and invite your child to clean them with cloths and warm soapy water.
Story telling
Use glove, finger or wooden spoon puppets for the king and two servants; a bag of money. Servant 1: Please can I borrow some money? King: Of course. (hands over bag of money) Servant 1: Thank you very much. Servant 2: Please can I borrow some money? Servant 1: Of course. (hands over one or two coins)
King: Can I have my money back, please? Servant 1: I’m very sorry, but I haven’t got it yet. Can you wait a little longer? King: Yes, I suppose I could. Servant 1: Can I have my money back, please? Servant 2: I’m very sorry, but I haven’t got it yet. Can you wait a little longer?
Servant 1: No! If you can’t give me my money back, I will throw you into prison! God is like the king in our story – if we do something wrong, but say sorry, he will forgive us. If our friends do something wrong, but say sorry, we should forgive them.
Create
Ask the child to decorate heart shapes that you have drawn and cut, and glue them on a A 4 sheet, on which you write: ‘I forgive like God’
Pray Dear God, Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Amen.
Sing together: ‘Forgive one another’
Sending out God bless you, (Point to each other) and God bless me. (Point to oneself) Amen. (Wave arms)
