(Time of quiet to be in presence of the Lord)
Our help is from the Lord, All who made heaven and earth.
SONG/HYMN Modern Song: ‘Fearfully and wonderfully made’ Trad. Hymn: ‘Now the green blade riseth’
Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised, All there is no end to his greatness.
One generation shall praise your work to another, All and shall declare the wonder of your love.
All things, in heaven and earth, praise you, Lord: All and your faithful servants bless you.
Blessed be God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit: All Blessed be God for ever!
That this evening may be holy, good and peaceful, let us pray with one heart and mind.
All As our evening prayer rises before you, O God, so may your mercy come down upon us, to cleanse our hearts and set us free to sing your praise, now and for ever. Amen.
THE WORD OF GOD A light on our path
PSALM (Good News Version) Psalm 146
Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, my soul! 2 I will praise him as long as I live; I will sing to my God all my life.
3 Don't put your trust in human leaders; no human being can save you. 4 When they die, they return to the dust; on that day all their plans come to an end.
5 Happy are those who have the God of Jacob to help them and who depend on the LORD their God, 6 the Creator of heaven, earth, and sea, and all that is in them.
He always keeps his promises; 7 he judges in favour of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets prisoners free 8 and gives sight to the blind.
He lifts those who have fallen; he loves his righteous people. 9 He protects the strangers who live in our land; he helps widows and orphans, but takes the wicked to their ruin.
10 The LORD is king forever. Your God, O Zion, will reign for all time. Praise the LORD!
Glory to the Father, by the Son, in the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and shall be for ever. Amen. Or: Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and shall be for ever. Amen.
Lord of all, our breath and being come from you, yet our earthly end is dust; as you loose the bound and feed the hungry, so bring us in your mercy through the grave and gate of death to the feast of eternal life, where you reign for evermore. Amen.

5 The earth is polluted by its people. They haven’t obeyed the laws of the LORD. They haven’t done what he told them to do. They’ve broken the covenant that will last forever. 6 So the LORD will send a curse on the earth. Its people will pay for what they’ve done. They will be
Lord my God, you are clothed with splendour and majesty: All you wrap yourself in light as if it was a robe. You send forth your Spirit and everything is created: All you renew the face of the earth. Glory to the Father, by the Son, in the Holy Spirit: All Lord my God, you are clothed with splendour and majesty, you wrap yourself in light as if it was a robe.
PRAYERS FOR THE WORLD (Present to the Lord all your prayers, for yourself, your loved ones, and the whole world)
For the preservation of the rivers and oceans, polluted with plastic and by dangerous substances.
(We offer ourselves to the Lord)
All Heavenly Lord, you long for the world’s salvation: stir us from apathy, restrain us from excess and revive in us new hope that all creation will one day be healed in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
THE LORD’S PRAYER As our Saviour taught us, so we pray with confidence:
(Modern Version) (Traditional Version) Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be your name; Your kingdom come; Your will be done; on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours, now and for ever. Amen. Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever and ever. Amen.
SONG/HYMN Modern Song: ‘Creator of all things’ Traditional Hymn: ‘This is my Father’s world’
SENDING OUT All The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us all evermore. Amen.
Let us bless the Lord. All Thanks be to God.
