IN A SNAPSHOT • Our Members contributed to: – 14 Original Service Events – 1300+ cumulative community service hours – Continued the ”What’s In A Doctor’s Bag? ” Program

WHAT’S IN A DOCTORS BAG? • A new SSP-led initiative introduced in the 2018 -2019 academic year • Created and implemented an interactive storytelling program for elementary school students • The program introduced children to the roles of physicians through storytelling and interactive play with basic medical equipment • Implementation included coordination with local school administrators, design of entertaining and educational content, and recruitment of volunteer medical students • The program began with a successful pilot at a school in southern New Jersey and is expected to expand to new schools this fall.
