The Holy Quran: Surah al-Aʿlā Chapter 87 - Súrah al-Aʿlā The surah that opens with the command to highly exalt God, the Divine One who is The Most Exalted, far above all that is unworthy that people wrongly attribute to Him. It is named after “the Most Exalted” (al-aʿlā), mentioned in. The surah reassures the Prophet Muḥammad that God will help him and urging him to continue with his mission. The temporary nature of this world is highlighted through mention of the short life of green pasture. The surah is also known as: Glory to Lord in the Highest, The Most High. This surah was revealed in Makkah. It is narrated that the reciter of this surah will get the reward equal to ten times the number of letters in the divine books that were revealed to the Holy Prophet (S), Prophet Ibrahim (A) and Prophet Musa (A). It is also said that in the hereafter, he will be told to enter Jannah through whichever door he pleases. Imam Ali (A) used to recite this surah often in his compulsory prayers. Surah al. Aʿlā is also good for relieving ear pains and other ailments.

The Holy Quran: Surah al-Aʿlā ﺍﻟﻠ ﺍﻟ ﻣ ﺍﻟ ﻳ In the name of Allah the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

The Holy Quran: Surah al-Aʿlā ﴾ ١﴿ ٱ ٱ ﻯ Celebrate the Name of your Lord, the Most Exalted,

The Holy Quran: Surah al-Aʿlā ﴾ ٢﴿ ﻯ ٱ ﻯ who created and proportioned,

The Holy Quran: Surah al-Aʿlā ﴾ ٣﴿ ﻯ ٱ ﻯ who determined and guided,

The Holy Quran: Surah al-Aʿlā ﴾ ٤﴿ ٱ ٱ ﻯ who brought forth the pasture,

The Holy Quran: Surah al-Aʿlā ﴾ ٥﴿ ۥ آ ﻯ then turned it into a black scum.

The Holy Quran: Surah al-Aʿlā ﴾ ٦﴿ ﺍ ﻧ We shall have you recite [the Qurʾān], then you will not forget [any of it]

The Holy Quran: Surah al-Aʿlā ﴾٧﴿ ﺍ ﺍ آ ٱﻠـ ۥ ٱ ﺍ ﻯ except what Allah may wish. Indeed He knows the overt and what is hidden.

The Holy Quran: Surah al-Aʿlā ﴾ ٨﴿ ﻯ We shall smooth your way to [preach] the easiest [canon].

The Holy Quran: Surah al-Aʿlā ﴾٩﴿ ﻥ ٱﻠ ﻯ So admonish, for admonition is indeed beneficial:

The Holy Quran: Surah al-Aʿlā ﴾١٠﴿ ﻥ ﻯ he who fears will take admonition,

The Holy Quran: Surah al-Aʿlā ﴾١١﴿ ﺍ ٱ ﻯ and the most wretched will shun it

The Holy Quran: Surah al-Aʿlā ﴾١٢﴿ ٱ ﻯ ﻯ ٱﻠ ﺍ ٱ ﻯ —he who will enter the Great Fire,

The Holy Quran: Surah al-Aʿlā ﴾١٣﴿ ﺍ ﺍ ﻯ ﺍﻭﻳ then neither live in it, nor die.

The Holy Quran: Surah al-Aʿlā ﴾١٤﴿ ﻯ ﻥ Felicitous is he who purifies himself,

The Holy Quran: Surah al-Aʿlā ﴾١٥﴿ ٱ ۦ ﻯ celebrates the Name of his Lord, and prays.

The Holy Quran: Surah al-Aʿlā ﴾١٦﴿ ﻭ ٱﻭ ٱﻠ ﺍ Rather you prefer the life of this world,

The Holy Quran: Surah al-Aʿlā ﴾١٧﴿ ٱ ﺍ while the Hereafter is better and more lasting.

The Holy Quran: Surah al-Aʿlā ﴾١٨﴿ ـ ﺍ ﻯ ٱﻠ ٱﻭ ﻯ This is indeed in the former scriptures,

The Holy Quran: Surah al-Aʿlā ﴾١٩﴿ ﻳ ﻭ ﻯ the scriptures of Abraham and Moses.

The Holy Quran: Surah al-Aʿlā ﺩ ﻯ آ ﻟ O Allah send Your blessings on Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.
