RESPECT MODE DEFENSE MODE CONSENSUS MODE Each student is provided with the written material and a totally quiet environment for a measured amount of time. No sharing of information is done at this time. Pairs of students discuss, compare, justify, and defend their conclusions. Consensus may or may not be achieved, but communications about the topic has been exhaustive. Changes in answers are optional. Each student speaks only with a partner. Each pair confers with another pair about the conclusions and logical support for them. Consensus is the goal, but not necessary.

LUNCH AND FOOD I understand that lunch is later this year, however food is

During 3 rd period we will be dismissed in the middle of class for lunch. You must throw away all uneaten food/drink before taking your seat. You must return promptly or you will be marked tardy. Make sure you turn off your cell phone upon returning.

Tornado Drill We will all file out in the hallway and assume a crouched position. Earthquake Drill Students are to tuck and cover under their desks. Lockdown Drill Students are to get into the back corner of the classroom and remain silent.

YOUR NOTEBOOK Your notebook is vitally important in this class. It will serve as

FREE TIME If you finish all assignments, you may choose to work on Rosetta

If you do, I will confiscate the work and I will not return it to you. If you are caught copying anyone else's’ work, both you and the person you are copying will receive a 0. If it is for another class, I will notify that teacher.
