Project Description • The Wekiva Parkway project constructs 25 centerline miles of new toll expressway. It also constructs an additional $500 million of non –toll road improvements including Ø Construction of 7 miles of 4 and 6 -laning of SR 46 in Lake and Seminole Counties Ø Reconstruction of the US 441/SR 46 interchange in Mount Dora Ø Relocation of CR 46 A to provide improved wildlife connectivity and additional local road system benefits • Provides connectivity to SR 417 and I-4 corridors

Why Now? • Multiple partners guarantees “finishing the beltway” will be accomplished. • It will give Central Floridians another “choice” of transportation. • Secretary Prasad took the lead as a commitment “to be able to” do a design build by Fall 2012 to “start” the important project, pending approvals. 7

FDOT/OOCEA Agreement in Principle For each agency’s respective section they will: – Perform Final Design – Construct – Finance – Operate – Maintain – Collect Tolls – Keep all toll revenue

Project Status Environmental Document • Reevaluation of Noise Walls (recent new criteria) • Finding of No Significant Impact expected by the end of 2011
Project Status Design • 15% preliminary engineering currently being performed by FDOT. – Identifying Right of Way Requirements – Value Engineering – Risk Assessment • Final design for all segments can begin as early as July 2012
Project Status Construction • Construction anticipated Fall 2012 in portion of Orange and Lake County (4 A & 4 B) • Wekiva Parkway Complete Fall 2021 • Revenue can be started by Jan 2015 (initial operating section)
