Spring. Board was designed by teachers from the start, and it's regularly updated based on feedback from teachers who are using the program. We want to hear how teachers have adapted the basic curriculum for their classrooms, and we're continually incorporating the best ideas into the program. For example: • • Paul De. Maret, a Spring. Board ELA teacher in the Poudre School District, Fort Collins, Colorado, contributed lessons and activities from his own classes that helped shape some of our ELA Embedded Assessments. Glenn Morgan, a Spring. Board ELA teacher in the San Diego Unified School District, helped to develop Turnitin Revision Assistant, one of Spring. Board ELA's newest tools. These are just two out of hundreds of teachers every year who help us update Spring. Board with their own materials, ideas, and suggestions.
• High schools using Spring. Board for three to five years had substantially more students taking AP courses. • Spring. Board use improves AP scores, particularly among Latino and African American students. Spring. Board Compendium of Research (. pdf/3. 0 MB). See case studies and other success stories

I am layering my own digital learning environments over the existing coursework that the Spring. Board offers. While the learning community provided by the College Board provides for a plethora of US schools in several states, the international interaction and collaboration is limited in various aspects of the coursework. There a multitude of existing resources online which allow for international collaboration.
• I am currently participating in a NCSS Grant Opportunity to secure 1 to 1 digital devices in my classroom. If I am successful in my pursuit, I will be able to provide all of my students with daily laptop access. • I have also been speaking with my instructional technology head at my school to prepare a number of desktop computers for my classroom. These devices will be available regardless of whether or not I secure this year’s grant opportunity. • There are enough computer labs available at my school to arrange for adequate usage time weekly for all my students.

The program's teacher tools and guidance help you do your job but don't tell you how to do it - the program gives you the flexibility to apply its tools the way you want. Here are some of the powerful tools and resources: • Close Reading Workshops and Writing Workshops help you focus instruction on key reading and writing skills. • Turnitin Revision Assistant provides automated feedback on student writing. • Zinc Learning Labs gives you and your students access to a huge library of texts for independent reading. • A variety of features help teachers adapt lessons for differing student needs.
Begin with the end in mind. Based on the Understanding by Design model, the program's instruction is built around embedded assessments that are backmapped from AP and college and career readiness standards. Teachers and students receive clearning targets when they begin the set of activities that lead to the embedded assessment. Students know why the skills they're developing matter.
Keep the student at the center. Spring. Board pedagogy is student centered. Its design and features help educators: • Instruct students with different needs. • Engage students. Spring. Board activities and assessments include performance tasks that encourage active learning and collaboration.
• The Spring. Board professional learning program includes training for teachers and guidance for administrators at every stage of implementation. • We offer a wealth of support: online and in person, group workshops and one-on-one mentoring, formal seminars and informal check-ins. • Districts can even choose an offering from our catalog that sends Spring. Board instructional coaches to schools to observe classroom instruction and give feedback on how the school can use the program more effectively.
We want to help you make Spring. Board a success in your school or district. So from the start, we work with your staff. We make sure your teachers know how to make the most of the program—and have the guidance they need to keep developing their skills. That means ongoing training and support for teachers, instructional coaches, and administrators at every stage of implementation, through our professional learning system. When I began researching the capabilities offered through Spring. Board Digital, I was incredibly impressed with the versatility offered through their platform. The tools offered for instructors and students is thorough and comprehensive.
